Why stay here

  • In the middle of SeligmanThe motel is on Old Highway 66, about 0.1 km in a straight line from the heart of Seligman's Route 66 strip. Location scores 8.6. Seligman is where the revival of the old road began in 1987, and its short main street of souvenir shops, old motels and the Snow Cap drive-in is a walk from your door.
  • Pets on requestPets are allowed on request, and charges may apply. That is unusual in Seligman: the Aztec Motel next door does not accept them. Ask the motel before you arrive.
  • Practical roomsRooms have a microwave, a fridge, a flat-screen TV and a desk, and there is a barbecue area and free parking. The four room types include a room with three beds for small groups.
  • Friendly scores for staffIt scores 7.8 on Booking.com from 380 reviews (checked 16 Oct 2026) and 4.2 on Google Maps from 372 reviews. Staff is its highest sub-score at 8.8, and Wi-Fi scores a solid 8.5.

Good to know before you book

  • Facilities and comfort score lowFacilities (7.5) and comfort (7.9) are its weakest sub-scores. Expect a simple roadside motel room rather than a renovated boutique stay.
  • Check-in ends at 22:00Check-in runs from 15:00 to 22:00, earlier than at the Aztec next door (midnight) or the Kingman motels (23:30). If you are driving from Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon, plan to arrive in time, or tell the motel in advance.
  • Children count as adults from 6From age 6 a child is charged as an adult, and there are no cots or extra beds. The minimum age to check in is 18.
  • The neighbour scores higherThe Aztec Motel, about 140 m away, scores 9.2. The Deluxe Inn costs around €79 a night for two in mid-January 2027 when we checked, converted from US dollars, and its value for money scores 8.1.

Rooms

Couples can choose a queen room or a king room. For two friends or a parent with an older child, the room with two double beds works, and the room with three beds suits a small group or a family with older children.

Remember that children from 6 count as adults on price and there are no cots, so search with the full number of guests. All rooms come with a fridge and a microwave, enough for a simple breakfast in the room, since no breakfast is listed.

Getting there and around

From Phoenix Sky Harbor

There is no direct road: drive north on I-17 to Flagstaff and then west on I-40. By our own estimate from the distances, that is roughly three and a half hours without stops. See Phoenix to the Grand Canyon for the first part of the drive.

From Las Vegas

Las Vegas to Kingman is about 119 miles (192 km) via US-93 (AAA), and Kingman to Seligman about 73 miles (117 km) and an hour on I-40 (James Kaiser): around 3 hours 20 minutes in total. The old Route 66 from Kingman through Hackberry is slower and more interesting.

To the Grand Canyon South Rim

Mather Point is about 107 km in a straight line. By road, drive east to Williams (about 43 miles, 69 km, 45 minutes) and then north on AZ-64 (about 60 miles, 97 km, an hour, according to the National Park Service): around 1 hour 45 minutes in all. Check Grand Canyon fees in 2026.

Along Route 66

The Hackberry General Store is about 78 km west in a straight line and Kingman's Route 66 museum about 108 km. Our Route 66 road trip covers the stops.
